Welcome to Monstarlab Engineering 🔥

We are Monstarlab - a digital consultancy with engineering at the core 👩‍💻 We care a lot about delivering value to our clients and we strive to hit the sweet spot between moving fast and being a strategic partner ❤️.

What does this mean for you? On a daily basis, you will be taking a lot of ownership and will be deeply involved in shaping and delivering meaningful projects together with our teams and clients. You will be working with colleagues from all over the world, iterating and collaborating with designers, engineers, QA, delivery, and strategy across the four pillars of our organization: Tech, Data, Experience & Strategy. Monstarlab is a borderless company with offices in 30 cities around the world 🌎.

We believe that working at Monstarlab is a great opportunity to grow professionally, as you will get exposure to lots of brilliant-minded colleagues, as well as working on challenging projects across the world and within different industries 🚀

Data at Monstarlab 👩‍💻
Data is one of the four pillars defining Monstarlab. We work with data science, engineering, analytics and strategy across a broad selection of projects.

Working as a Data Architecture means you will be free to experiment and use the tools that excite you the most to work on a variety of problems for our growing portfolio of clients, especially in Health and Life Sciences. We do a lot of prototyping and interact closely with our clients to understand how data and solutions impact their business.

We often prototype locally before setting up infrastructure and moving the inference part of the pipeline to cloud environments mostly on AWS or GCP, depending on the client. Monstarlab’s data team is primarily a Python team, but we gladly welcome and nurture secondary languages such as Rust, C# or R.

Within our data offerings, we’re now looking for the person to help steer our approach to Data Architecture (with an emphasis on Health and Life Sciences). We’re looking for someone who comes with a relevant engineering background and who is excited about having a diverse role that spans from hands-on delivery as well as strategic planning around how we grow in this area.

Responsibilities:

You’ll be involved in and responsible for these activities:

  • Previous experience working in a consultancy or agency including defining propositions and pitching to clients.
  • Proven experience leading a team from both the perspectives of leading a capability area and managing others.
  • Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
  • Thinking about how we test quality in each solution. Facilitating how we’ll test might be a core attribute of the solution
  • Able to communicate effectively and pragmatically with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders and influence in the direction of the best solution where necessary
